Charles Beck, Jr. is Maverick's Director of Risk Analysis & Assessment. His expertise includes: global political risk assessment, security, professional recruiting, project management, counseling and personnel issues, Chuck brings a keen perspective and capability to these areas, honed by his decades as a former career intelligence officer at the Central Intelligence Agency, (CIA) where he spent the first part of his career in the Operations Directorate, and was stationed in Europe. Chuck is one of those rare individuals that can bring a sense of calm and extraordinary leadership to chaotic situations.

Chuck graduated from Duke University. He then joined the military and completed the Russian Language Course at the Defense Language Institute. He then attended graduate school at Middlebury College, majoring in Russian History.

At the CIA, Chuck served on the board of the Agency's Voluntary Investment Plan. Since his retirement, he has consulted to the Agency, which has enabled him to maintain his contacts at the senior level in the corporate, academic and government
