Bill is practice director and co-practice director of the M&A group at Maverick. Originally from New York City, Bill relocated to Tampa, Florida in the early 1980’s from Washington, D.C. After playing college varsity and pro tennis, he returned to the City University of New York’s business school. A few years later, Bill was recruited by the CIA’s operations directorate. Subsequently he established one of the first counter-terrorism firms in the country staffed entirely by former career intelligence officers. Over the years that followed, Bill was the principal behind several high-tech start-ups in the wireless, technology and electronic security industries. In the second half of the 1980’s, Bill was recruited by the CEO of ADT and tasked with developing competitive market strategies as well as heading up the company’s M&A efforts. Following his attempt to acquire ADT through an LBO, Bill transitioned into management consulting, and has worked with a host of prestigious clients including: SONY, Westinghouse and Home Depot. Bill’s practice specialties include M&A, with an emphasis on targeting, due diligence and post acquisition integration, strategy, and the reorganization of field service and sales groups.
